What is the Edutrans project about?
In this project seven VET schools from four European countries – The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Spain and the Basque Country – have joined forces.
We developed curricula and training models (level 2-5) about energy transition in co-creation with companies. We applied the educational method of hybrid learning and the ECVET principles. Students were closely involved in piloting the products.
Global challenges
Edutrans anticipates at one of the biggest global challenges of our time; the climate change and corresponding need for an energy transition.
The energy transition asks for the development of new technologies and products. And it requires people who possess the skills to work with these new innovations.
The skills and knowledge of the current group of VET students will no longer be sufficient to cover all the (future) industry’s needs for trained staff.
International cooperation
The energy transition requires an international approach where countries cooperate.
The challenge in this project was to develop training products which are applicable in different national contexts and education systems.
The project contributes to better equipped VET teachers to train future students and companies benefitting from innovated approaches of training.
